Education: Degree in social science and youth services, Diploma in Sport Development and cert iv in coaching.
Background: I grew up in Brisbane on the south side of town (Moorooka). I attended St. Brendan’s primary school at Moorooka and went to Clairvaux Mackillop college and Lowood State High School. Throughout my teenage years I played a lot of sports, but my main ones where Soccer where I made number of representative teams (school met west, Queensland), Swimming, golf and Tae Kwon-do.
After finishing school in 2003 I went on and completed a Degree in Social science and Youth Services. In 2007 upon completion of my studies I was offered a job as a Counsellor for children in care with the Not for Profit Organisation ‘Spiritus’, where worked for a further 4yrs. In early 2009 I also started work as a Learn to swim instructor at John Carew Swim School, after a year of Learn to swim I decided that coaching swimming was what I enjoyed the most, so I moved on from my job at Spiritus and began full time coaching (squad and learn to swim) at John Carew Swim School. In 2011 I was hired as Junior / Assistant coach here at River city where I hope to continue learning and progressing as a coach, and become a positive influence/role model and coach for the athletes.
I have a Fiancé Emma and we have 2 beautiful kids together Summer and Noah.
I also enjoy long walks on the beach, pina colada’s, being caught in the rain and chocolate!!
