If you are interested in results please click here to be taken to our events and results page.

A big thank you to all of our volunteers and officials. Again, we can’t do it without your help. It’s fantastic to see lots of family members helping out on the day for the good of our great swimmers in Queensland. With all of you helping, the future is bright for our sport. Keep it up.

Hannah, Lauren, Jacob and Nick showed some great racing spirit to end up 11th club at this weekends SA Open in Adelaide. In the middle of hard training they posted a total of seven PB’s winning eight medals in the process – three Gold and five Silver. Hannah led the PB count with four – most of these a direct result of some very deadly pullouts. Lauren made a huge jump with a 1 sec PB in the 100 Back posting a 1:02.59 – only 1/10 sec outside the Target Gold time. We now have two SA Open Champions with Hannah winning the 200 Bst and Nick claiming the 100 and 200 Bst.
This meet served as an excellent opportunity to race in the pool where the Olympic trials will be held and to get some good racing experience. I was very impressed with the way our swimmers managed to swim fast in both heats and finals with nearly all times faster than those done at Qld States.
It’s now two weeks of hard training, and then off to Sydney for their State Championships, where we hope to again see some deadly times from these four swimmers.

At the moment, Dale and myself are in the process of ensuring all swimmers are training in the appropriate squad. This is no easy task, as some swimmers are very competent in one area but not so in others. The main factor we use to determine each individual’s squad placement is how they will benefit.
For each squad, there are standards that apply to ensure that all swimmers within that squad have the opportunity to fulfill their goals and reach their potential. These standards are outlined below. if you feel that any of these are inappropriate for your squad, or are unsure of any of the standards, please come and see me before your next session.
